Advisory Board Member

Bukeka has spent over 20 years in various leadership and executive positions across the development finance and public transport sectors. Bukeka has successfully led complex, high-impact projects and initiatives including her involvement in the establishment of the Tshwane Rapid Transit (TRT) bus company (bus operator for A Re Yeng Bus Rapid Transit in the City of Tshwane) as the CEO. She fostered strong relationships with key stakeholders, including financial institutions such as the Development Bank of Sothern Africa (DBSA), raising significant funding which resulted in the launch of Southern Africa’s first Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) bus fleet. Her expertise includes strategic planning and development, negotiations, capacity building, and managing the execution of innovative solutions. She gained critical skills in the areas of development finance, advisory, and private equity investing during her tenure at the DBSA. Bukeka has worked closely with government entities, municipalities, unions, communities, and industry partners such as the taxi industry in Tshwane and Johannesburg.  Bukeka serves as a Non-Executive Director in various entities. She is a Certified Director® and holds an MPhil in Development Finance from University of Stellenbosch Business School.
