The workshop emphasised the value of urban planning in cities and at local government level to improve the livelihood of residents for easy mobility. I had fruitful engagements and discussions with conference participants around modal integration, pedestrian safety, challenges, opportunities, and best practices for the development of transit systems in smart cities and ridership behavioural patterns. The workshop also highlighted the importance of public engagement in the development of transportation policy, land use planning, and the use of ICT for smart mobility
