Abimola Akinajo is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 30 years of post-qualification experience, 25 of which have been dedicated to the design and delivery of major transport infrastructure projects. She brings deep expertise in both consulting and the rail industry, having spent two decades in the United Kingdom where she played a key role in delivering several high-profile rail infrastructure developments. Her project portfolio includes the replacement of major London Underground rail bridges, the Connect Project (which modernised communication systems across the entire London Underground network), the Blackfriars Station upgrade for the Thameslink Programme, the East London Line project handover, and the London Overground Interface Project, among others. Abimola Akinajo is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE), the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), and the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
