Victor Shange is a Professional Engineer and Project Manager with a BSc in Civil Engineering and over 20 years of combined experience in positions of increasing responsibilities and duties in the Passenger Rail, and Petrochemical industries. Some of his engineering and project management experience includes several large-scale multi-disciplinary projects at Sasol Technology as well as at PRASA where he was also responsible for the asset and maintenance management of the perway, civils, and structures in the KZN region.
Victor is currently the Acting Chief Portfolio Officer at the Gautrain Management Agency (GMA), as well as the Interim Chief Operating Officer at the Gauteng Transport Authority (TAG). Prior to occupying these roles, Victor has also been the Acting Chief Operating Officer at the GMA and has also been responsible for the GMA’s maintenance assurance of the civils, perway, and structures of the Gautrain.
His extensive knowledge and skills include project portfolio governance and management, programme management, asset maintenance management, project engineering, project and contract management, engineering, project procurement, construction quality assurance, as well as Public-Private Partnerships.
