Tarun Sobhani has spent his career early, standing where technology is about to change how brands reach customers, a step ahead of the market. He was there for India’s first wave of internet advertising, in leadership roles at Rediff and AOL India. Then he founded DealsandYou and built it into one of the country’s largest daily-deals platforms, connecting online demand to restaurants, retailers, and local businesses. It taught him the thing his career would keep circling: how a customer online becomes a customer in a store. In 2014, he saw the next gap before the market had caught up to the last one. Brands had gone digital. Their locations hadn’t. Companies spent on websites, apps, and national campaigns while the store itself, where the customer actually meets the brand, stayed hard to find, wrong, or missing. The marketing was everywhere, but the stores were invisible. And that gap became SingleInterface. Tarun built it on his own conviction and years of experience, nearly a decade before raising a first external round in 2024. Today the company works with more than 450 brands across Asia and the Middle East, managing thousands of locations from one platform. He saw AI taking over discovery before the market did, and was already ahead, putting AI agents to work for every one of his customers’ locations before anyone was asking for it.
