Motsamayi Tourism Group

Jerry Mabena is the CEO of Motsamayi Tourism Group and one of South Africa’s most respected business leaders in the tourism and hospitality sector. He holds a degree in industrial psychology and economics from Rhodes University, a diploma in project management from Damelin, and a postgraduate certificate in accounting and finance from Wits Business School. His career spans senior executive roles at Unilever, J Walter Thomson and Ucingo Marketing, followed by CEO appointments at Kagiso Exhibitions and Events (2004–2007), Kagiso Property Holding (2007–2010) and Thebe Services (2011–2020). Known for his integrated approach to business, strategic thinking and passion for developing talented individuals, Jerry currently holds board directorships at Kruger Shalati, Combined Motor Holdings, SRS Laundry, Thebe Corridors Company, Ornico Investments, the Tourism Transformation Council of South Africa, Jurni and Sanctuary Mandela. He serves as Chairman of the Tourism Business Council of South Africa.
