X, Bigly Labs By Dis-Chem

Aliyah Allie is the Executive Head of X, bigly labs, Dis-Chem’s innovation hub dedicated to rethinking how South Africans experience healthcare. She leads multidisciplinary teams working across AI, engineering, data science and customer experience to develop breakthrough solutions that improve health outcomes and make quality care more accessible. Prior to joining Dis-Chem, Aliyah was a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company, where she advised organisations on strategy, transformation and complex problem-solving. Earlier in her career she worked across the public, private and non-profit sectors, including roles with the Touch Foundation in Tanzania and Generation in Kenya, and has contributed to research and peacebuilding initiatives through Columbia University and the UNDP Arab Regional Hub. She holds a BCom in Accounting, a BA Honours in Economic History from UCT, and a Master’s degree in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University.
