An experienced Power Systems Electrical Engineer and Distribution Utility Professional with a track record spanning Utility Reform, Strategic Business Development, Change Management, Asset Creation (infrastructure deployment, grid access), Technical (network/plant development, quality assurance and operations) and Commercial (revenue cycle management, loss reduction) activities throughout the East African region.
He has previously provided consulting services on Donor funded (WB, KfW, Enabel) programmes focusing on Electricity Utility Institutional Capacity Assessment, Grid Access, Grid Backbone Extensions and Strengthening and Asset Creation Programmes. He is currently heading the largest WB funded grid and off-grid distribution energy access programme in Sub-Saharan Africa being delivered in Uganda (East–Africa).
HE holds a BSc Engineering (Elec)(Hons) (MUK), MBA with University of Bradford (UK) and a Master of Renewable Energy from the European Centre of Technology (ECT-EEC).
