As a transactions advisor, Dr. Jeffrey Kenneth Baiden leverages his skills in deal structure to make projects more financially viable for funding. Using his prior knowledge, he formed part of the program management team to oversee the Ghana Energy Sector Recovery Program (ESRP) project.

In addition to supporting the development of Ghana’s first nuclear power plant at Nuclear Power Ghana (NPG), he is embedded at the ESRP to aid in the country’s energy sector reform. He oversees the electricity trade within Ghana and the West African region in his capacity as Manager for Power Business at the Volta River Authority (VRA). His expertise in project management, project finance, electricity market, energy sector reforms, capital raising, and financial modeling has made him a valuable asset. For a period of three years (2022-2025), he serves on the Commercial Management and Financing for the Power Sector Study Committee No. Two of the African Power Utilities Association (APUA).

Through capital raising and project structuring, Dr. Baiden assists the Private Finance Advisory Network (PFAN) in Sub-Saharan Africa in financing low-carbon emission initiatives. Having worked on projects situated in Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Togo, Benin Gambia, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Burkina Faso, Cote D’Ivoire, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and São Tomé and Príncipe, he is a results-driven energy economist with over 15 years of experience.

He has undertaken sector reform modeling and macroeconomic analysis as a finance expert on ESRP, working in tandem with the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to assist Ghana.
