Janice leads the Energy Business at Zutari, an infrastructure engineering and advisory firm with over 90 years of presence across Africa and the Middle East. In this role, she steers a team delivering integrated solutions across power generation, transmission and distribution, and industrial power — at a time when Africa’s energy landscape is being fundamentally reshaped. Her path to this leadership role is distinctly hands-on: from component engineer at Eskom’s Koeberg Nuclear Power Station, through project development in South Africa’s pioneering REIPPP wind rounds, to consulting project manager on utility-scale wind, solar, and hydro projects across the continent. She brings both the technical depth and strategic range that complex energy infrastructure demands. Janice holds a BSc (Hons) in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from UCT and an MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge.
