Gareth Burley is the Acting CEO of Microcare Energy, a South African manufacturer specialising in renewable energy and power electronics. He is passionate about local manufacturing, EV charging innovation, and building energy solutions designed for African conditions. At Microcare, Gareth is involved in the development of solar power electronics, inverters, MPPTs, and locally manufactured AC and DC-to-DC EV charging solutions. He is also active in media as a radio presenter and sports journalist, with experience across radio and television broadcasting. Gareth brings together technical insight, manufacturing experience, and public communication to advocate for an energy transition that is not only powered in Africa, but built in Africa.
