Wael is a Vice President, Metals & Mining Consulting at Wood Mackenzie, based out of Dubai. He is a practiced consultant with over 15 years experience in the industry globally, with a track record advising industry leaders on making informed strategic decisions.
Wael specializes in corporate & sovereign strategic advisory. He has supported several governmental organizations, upstream & midstream operators and financial & multilateral institutions across Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa in defining future-facing strategies. Wael has a proven experience in base & precious metals, battery raw materials as well as iron ore & steel alloys value-chains.
Wael started his career in Equity Research with GMP Securities in London. Subsequently, he has spent a few years in Management Consulting with Booz & Company and Process Improvement Consulting with Dassault Systemes in Dubai.
Wael holds a Masters in Metals & Energy Finance from Imperial College London, and a Bachelor in Mining Engineering from McGill University. He speaks French, Arabic, Spanish as well as English.
