Spyros Giourgas, with over 27 years’ experience, is a recognized figure in the energy sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Currently CEO of Congo Energy, he has been instrumental in positioning the company as a leader in the DRC’s energy sector, and over the course of his career has successfully piloted numerous large-scale projects, including public-private partnerships, strengthening the country’s energy infrastructure. In January 2025, he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACERD, confirming his leading role in the sector and his commitment to sustainable energy development in the DRC.
