Lumiere Mwila is a Doctoral Researcher in Engineering Science at LUT University. She has
a background in civil and construction engineering from Peter the Great St. Petersburg
Polytechnic University (Russia) and LAB University of Applied Sciences (Finland). She holds
a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from LUT University. Her
research focuses on sustainable mineral supply chains, ESG reporting, and responsible
mining frameworks in critical minerals, with a regional focus on the Democratic Republic
of Congo. She is particularly interested in strengthening collaboration between the DRC
and Finland. She is also interested in how artificial intelligence and data analytics can
improve transparency, governance, and sustainability in the mining sector.

Lumiere Mwila est doctorante en sciences de l’ingénierie à l’université LUT. Elle a suivi une
formation en génie civil et en génie de la construction à l’université polytechnique Pierre_x0002_le-Grand de Saint-Pétersbourg (Russie) et à l’université des sciences appliquées LAB
(Finlande). Elle est titulaire d’un master en génie industriel et gestion de l’université LUT.
Ses recherches portent sur les chaînes d’approvisionnement durables en minerais, le
reporting ESG et les cadres d’exploitation minière responsable pour les minerais critiques,
avec un accent régional sur la République démocratique du Congo. Elle s’intéresse
particulièrement au renforcement de la collaboration entre la RDC et la Finlande. Elle
s’intéresse également à la manière dont l’intelligence artificielle et l’analyse de données
peuvent améliorer la transparence, la gouvernance et la durabilité dans le secteur minier
