Lefranc Busane, PhD, MSc, MBA [MIEnvSc]
Lefranc is an Environmentalist with over 20 years’ experience in the mining industry. He has worked at senior and mine management levels for over 15 years in a multidisciplinary capacity, covering legislation, administration, sustainability (health, safety, environment and community relations), greenfield and brownfield projects’ development.
Lefranc holds a Licence degree in Hydrobiology (2001), an MSc in IWRM (Integrated Water Resources Management [2005]), an MBA in Leadership & Sustainability (2015) and a PhD in Mining Environment (Environmental dynamics and progressive ecological rehabilitation).
Lefranc is currently the Social Manager for Kibali Gold Mine. He has previously held the positions of Deputy General Manager, Support Functions for the Twangiza Gold Mine, and Sustainability (HSEC) Manager.
