Tunde M. Arisekola is Acting Head of the African Minerals Development Centre (AMDC) and Senior Advisor for Geological and Minerals Information, providing strategic leadership on mineral resource governance, geological information systems, and policy implementation in support of the Africa Mining Vision (AMV).
With more than three decades of experience in mining and geosciences, he has played a pivotal role in advancing sustainable mineral development across Africa, leading development of the African Mineral and Energy Resources Classification (AMREC) system and the Pan-African Resource Reporting Code (PARC) to strengthen resource reporting, transparency, and investment readiness.
He previously directed Nigeria’s National Geosciences Research Laboratories and served as Vice Chair of the UN Expert Group on Resource Management, and continues to champion geological data as a catalyst for investment, industrialisation, and Africa’s long-term resource-led development.
