Mrs. Nonye Ayeni is Executive Director/CEO of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), leading Nigeria’s non-oil export transformation. She holds an MBA from the University of Lagos and is an INSEAD alumna.
Since her appointment in October 2023, she has driven non-oil exports to a record USD 6.1 billion, a 35.6% increase and the highest level since NEPC’s founding in 1976, through reforms spanning exporter capacity building, standards compliance, informal trade mainstreaming, and cluster development for MSMEs, women, and youth. Under her leadership, NEPC became one of only four Business Support Organisations globally selected for the WTO/ITC Women Exporters in the Digital Economy Fund.
Prior to NEPC, she was pioneer MD/CEO of Signature Bank and held senior roles at FETS Limited and Zenith Bank, and she serves on multiple boards including FMDQ Group and PSHAN.
