Mecktilder M. Mchomvu is a mining strategist, policy advisor, and value-addition advocate working at the intersection of mining, industrialisation, community development, and resource governance across Africa. With more than 15 years of experience in the extractive sector, she advises investors, mining companies, development institutions, and policymakers.
A former small-scale miner and passionate champion of inclusive growth, Mecktilder is Executive Director and Founding Member of the Tanzania Women in Mining and Mineral Industry (TWiMMI), where she has helped empower thousands of women and youth across the mining value chain, and is co-founder of WOOW ME JEWEL, promoting local gemstone beneficiation.
A frequent speaker and moderator at platforms including Investing in African Mining Indaba, she is recognised as an influential voice on Africa’s industrial future.
