Marios Michaelides is the Director of the AMES-Habitat Fund, an innovative investment vehicle designed to scale protected, community-owned reserves across Africa. Through a blended model linking eco-tourism, biodiversity credits, and regenerative land management, the fund mobilizes private capital to unlock conservation and community prosperity at scale. With a background in real estate development in South Africa and a Master’s in Sustainable Nature-Based Development from Uppsala University in Sweden where he currently resides, Marios combines entrepreneurial experience with a deep commitment to biodiversity protection. He leads efforts to bridge the gap between finance and conservation by developing investable nature-based solutions that deliver measurable environmental and social impact
