Kevin Anderson is the Head of Strategic Initiatives at Climate Fund Managers (CFM) with over 17 years of experience in the banking, private equity, and renewable energy sectors. CFM is a leading climate-centric blended finance private equity fund manager. It designs, raises, and deploys climate finance funds at scale and pace, working in partnership to co-develop climate-resilient solutions.
Kevin has been a member of CFM since its inception and is responsible for reviewing, advising, developing, and implementing all unique business opportunities presented to CFM, intending to find mutual synergies that align with the investment mandate of the respective CFM funds in global markets.
He also heads up the SA-H2 Fund, a ~USD1 billion innovative blended finance fund that will facilitate and accelerate the development of a green hydrogen sector and circular economy in South Africa.
Before joining CFM, he was a consultant to various renewable energy companies, including SkyPower Global (Canada) and First Solar (United States), and actively supported project development and funding. Many of these projects were groundbreaking and first-of-their-kind large-scale renewable energy projects in South Africa and India. Kevin’s experience also includes working as a structured lending specialist for Rand Merchant Bank.
Kevin holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Stellenbosch Business School.
