Francois Marais is a South African sustainability and recycling specialist currently serving as an executive of stakeholders & projects at Polyco, a producer responsibility organisation focused on expanding the collection and recycling of plastic packaging across South Africa. In his role, he works on advancing EPR implementation, engaging with industry stakeholders, and strengthening circular-economy practices in packaging waste management.

Before his work at Polyco, Marais held roles in business development within the packaging and waste management sector, including positions that built his experience in market development and recycling initiatives.

His contributions center on improving recycling systems, stakeholder collaboration, and public awareness to make waste management more effective and environmentally responsible.
