Dr Danny Govender is an environmental sustainability specialist at South African National Parks (SANParks), where she leads strategic initiatives focused on climate resilience, biodiversity stewardship and environmental governance. With expertise spanning climate change adaptation, landscape-level conservation planning, and socio-ecological systems research, she supports the integration of science, policy and implementation across protected areas. Danny has played a key role in advancing SANParks’ climate change implementation frameworks, species and park management planning, and partnership-driven conservation models within the Greater Kruger landscape.
