Celeste Vogel, Founder & CEO of eWAKA Mobility Ltd, leads a groundbreaking e-mobility startup that is revolutionizing transportation in Africa with affordable, eco-friendly cargo bikes and a tech-driven platform. With a legal background and experience in finance and engineering, Celeste is deeply committed to fostering innovative and sustainable e-mobility solutions.

Her educational journey includes a Juris Doctor from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a BA in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University. She was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1994. Over the years, Celeste has held key positions at renowned institutions such as Citibank, SwissRe, ABB, and Credit Suisse, where she played pivotal roles in international finance and engineering.

In her current role at eWAKA Mobility Ltd, Celeste focuses on seamlessly merging technology and sustainability to make a lasting impact on urban mobility in Africa. Beyond her work, she co-founded PROWAH in Switzerland and serves on the boards of LEAP Trust and Les Enfants Monique, actively contributing to education and health initiatives in underserved African communities respectively.

Celeste’s outstanding contributions have earned recognition from prestigious organizations such as Google For Startups, the Miller Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, and Women Techmakers Mentor. Outside of her professional pursuits, she finds solace and inspiration in outdoor activities like hiking and travel, constantly seeking fresh perspectives.
