Bunmi assumed her new role as the Chief Strategy Officer at Retail Supermarkets Nigeria, the franchisee of Shoprite, in July 2021. With 24 years of experience in Organizational Development, IT/Enterprise Change Management, and Strategy Development/Realization across sectors such as Banking, Technology, Consulting, Manufacturing, and Retail, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her position.
Throughout her professional career, Bunmi has effectively set up and achieved outcomes in ERP implementation, Business Control, Business Process Management, Change Management, and Strategy Management Offices. She has held key leadership positions such as Chief Strategy Officer, Senior IT Programme Manager, Head of Business Process Management, Change Management Director, Strategy Consultant, Regional Finance Manager, Business Controller, and Programme Manager, Strategic Sourcing and Cost Optimization.
Bunmi holds a master’s degree and has earned several certifications, including being a Certified Change Management Practitioner and a fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants Nigeria, and the International Association of Strategy Consultants. She is an advocate for women, serves as the convener of African Women in Governance, and is involved in various mentoring and leadership programs. As a speaker, she has collaborated with organizations in Nigeria and across Africa on key topics and themes in Retail and e-commerce.
