Overview

Orbit Electric is a Nigerian electric motorcycle company building the vehicles and the charging infrastructure that Nigeria’s commercial transport sector needs to move off petrol. Our two core products are the Orbit CF-1, an electric motorcycle purpose-built for commercial use, and RAVE, a distributed, wall-mountable charging network designed around how riders actually want to charge — anywhere, anytime, rather than tied to a fixed swap station.

Our target market is Nigeria’s multi-million-unit commercial motorcycle economy: okada riders, last-mile delivery riders, and the fleet operators and dispatch companies that employ them. Today, this market is almost entirely petrol-dependent, exposed daily to fuel-price volatility and fuel shortages that directly erode rider income and disrupt fleet operations. We go to market through a B2B2C model — partnering with dealerships, hire-purchase financiers, and delivery platforms who place our vehicles with their existing riders — alongside direct sales to individual riders, which lets us scale distribution faster than a one-rider-at-a-time approach would allow.

What makes Orbit different is that we built around ownership and serviceability rather than optimizing for what’s operationally convenient for us. Riders own their battery and charge on their own schedule instead of depending on a swap station’s location and availability. And rather than shipping a sealed, single-vendor import, we’ve built on widely serviceable components — standard BMS protocols, common connectors, locally repairable hardware — so when something breaks, a local technician can actually fix it, instead of a rider being stranded waiting on an overseas OEM with no service presence in Nigeria.

Beyond the vehicle sale, Orbit is building the recurring infrastructure layer underneath Nigeria’s shift to electric two-wheeled transport — charging sessions, fleet contracts, and financing relationships that continue long after a bike is sold, positioning us as an energy and mobility infrastructure company, not just a motorcycle manufacturer.

Why Investing

1
A Large Market With a Clear, Quantifiable Pain Point
Nigeria's commercial motorcycle economy — millions of okada riders, delivery riders, and fleet operators — runs on petrol and is directly exposed to fuel-price volatility, which erodes income for a workforce paid per trip. Orbit Electric targets this proven demand by removing fuel cost at the source.
2
An Integrated Offering That Creates a Moat
Rather than selling just a vehicle, Orbit bundles the CF-1 motorcycle, the RAVE distributed charging network, and hire-purchase financing into one platform. This combination protects against the failure points of competitors — those selling standalone vehicles (no charging access) or centralized swap stations (solving for their own convenience, not rider preference for owning and charging batteries anywhere).
3
Scalable Go-to-Market With Recurring Revenue
A B2B2C model — partnering with dealerships, financiers, and fleet platforms — brings riders onto the platform in bulk rather than one sale at a time. Combined with locally-repairable components that keep cost-to-serve low, and recurring revenue from charging, fleet contracts, and financing, Orbit positions itself as the energy and mobility infrastructure layer beneath Nigeria's electric transition, not just a hardware seller.
