However, challenges like limited research, insufficient policy frameworks, and lack of local expertise hinder widespread sustainable mobility adoption. Various African countries are exploring sustainable mobility solutions with pilot projects, but a cohesive, continent-wide approach is lacking.

An African Mobility Research Institute is proposed to bridge gaps, foster collaboration, and leverage shared expertise. The institute aligns with global initiatives, creating synergies for sustainable mobility.
