RTMC Unveils Plan to Curb Festive Season Road Crashes

The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) has announced a comprehensive plan to reduce road accidents during the upcoming festive season. In an effort to ensure safer roads, the RTMC has identified 20 high-risk crash hotspots across the country. 

To combat this issue, the RTMC will deploy law enforcement officers to these hotspots for 24/7 surveillance and enforcement. The Department of Transport has also expressed concern over the increasing use of cellphones while driving, emphasizing the dangers of distracted driving. 

By implementing these measures, the RTMC aims to significantly reduce the number of road accidents and fatalities during the festive season.
