Dr Alagbaoso is the Head: Business Ecosystems and Sustainability for the Standard Bank Group Business and Commercial Banking Unit.
His vision of sustainability emanates from the need to drive Africa’s developmental objectives and competitiveness in a low carbon world. He spends his time building solutions, tools, networks and partnerships that enable businesses across Sub-Saharan Africa to realise opportunities in energy transition, productive use of energy, clean cooking, climate smart agriculture, carbon market, water management, and climate change adaptation and mitigation.
He is an Adjunct Professor of strategy and a Visiting Researcher at the School of Business Sciences, University of Witwatersrand. Dr. Alagbaoso holds an MBA (cum laude) (Wits Business School) with focus on strategic management, an MSc in Sustainable Development (SOAS, University of London), a Green Hydrogen Specialist Certification (RENAC, Germany), and a PhD in entrepreneurial studies (Wits Business School).
