Ian Mwiinga is the National Coordinator of the Zambia EITI Secretariat, hosted by Zambia’s Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development, where he oversees support to the multi-stakeholder Zambia EITI Council. He also sits on the Public Private Dialogue Forum under the Mining Cluster, a platform hosted by Zambia’s Cabinet Office to strengthen public-private collaboration.
Ian previously served on the EITI International Board, representing Anglophone and Lusophone implementing countries including Ethiopia, Ghana, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, and Tanzania, and co-chaired the Implementation Committee overseeing the EITI Standard and shaping policy on transparency and accountability in the extractive sector.
With extensive experience in resource governance and multi-stakeholder engagement, Ian continues to play a leading role in advancing responsible, accountable natural resource management across Africa.
