Akim Daouda is the Founder and CEO of Mwaana Inc., working at the intersection of nature markets, science, and technology. He focuses on how biological resources, data, and knowledge can be governed and valued in ways that support long-term economic development, particularly in Africa. Akim previously served as CEO of Gabon’s Sovereign Wealth Fund, where he worked on climate finance, natural capital, and sovereign investment strategies. He serves on the boards of NatureFinance and the Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative (VCMI), and is a member of the World Economic Forum Global Future Council on Nature Capital.
