Pre-feasibilityThe Agro-Photovoltaics (APV) prototype project endeavors to integrate agricultural activities with solar energy production in Ten Miles, Chibombo District, Zambia. Situated within the Central Province, Chibombo boasts favorable solar resource availability, making it an ideal location for this innovative venture. Our project entails the installation of a 1000kWac capacity APV system employing Solar Panels mounted on elevated structures of 3.2 meters above the ground, 0.3 meters space between modules and 4.5 meters gap between rows of panels. This approach optimizes land utilization, fostering sustainable resource management while enhancing agricultural productivity.
With meticulous planning, we aim to configure the project for optimal performance. This involves selecting suitable crops such as Groundnuts and implementing precise spacing and irrigation strategies to maximize yields.
