Overview

Pyrol Tech is a Green Economy start-up that has developed innovative, off-grid pyrolysis technology to recycle organic waste and process alternative biomass into carbon-based products suitable for the Agriculture and Construction Industries. We also offer effective on-site waste management solutions and services for wood waste and biomass processing, including bio-oil extraction.

Our flagship innovations include:

– PyrolCrete: A sustainable alternative to traditional concrete that offers reduced environmental impact through carbon-negative processes.

– PyrolWood: Thermally treated wood designed for enhanced durability and sustainability.

Our manufacturing facility is located in Khula Village, St Lucia (North KZN), approximately 250 km from Durban. As we develop our technology and products, we are also helping the Khula Village community eliminate a 2.5-hectare sawdust and wood chip dump on community-owned land. This initiative is particularly important as the dumpsite is adjacent to the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
