Traditional electrowinning is a batch process with large footprints, high capital expenditure (CAPEX), and operational costs (OPEX), posing safety risks like acid mist exposure. Rotowinner™ addresses these by providing continuous, mobile, and modular processing systems that improve operator safety, process efficiency, and significantly reduce CAPEX and OPEX.This technology is versatile, applied in copper recovery, precious metals extraction, and water treatment, offering off-gas containment and treatment.

The Rotowinner™ reduces manual cathode handling, ensuring safer working conditions, while improving overall profitability by enhancing production rates. FRPD aims to further develop the technology for various metals and applications, including cobalt, zinc, platinum group metals (PGMs), and hydrogen.
