Overview

At Drop Access, we design, manufacture and distribute Vaccibox, a portable, solar-powered medical refrigerator. It enables health workers to safely store and transport vaccines, medicines, and blood to remote areas not connected to grid electricity, maintaining a temperature range of 2–8°C. Usable on motorbikes, bicycles, or boats, it serves both outreach and in-facility storage needs, holding up to 3,000 doses. The Vaccibox is integrated with IoT monitoring software tracking temperature, performance and inventory, reducing spoilage and stockouts. Vaccibox has enabled the delivery of 2.5 million life-saving vaccines and medications to underserved communities. Vaccibox is transforming healthcare access through clean energy innovation, local manufacturing and sustainable impact across health systems in Africa.
