ImplementationProject Hummingbird is a pilot direct air capture (DAC) + storage plant that will be located in Naivasha, a town along the Kenyan Rift Valley. The plant will have the capacity to capture and securely store more than 1,000 metric tons of CO2 per year (1,000tCO2/yr). In addition to fostering climate innovation within the region, the project has the potential to drastically lower the costs of DAC technology and serve as a catalyst for socioeconomic development within the deployment area.
