Overview

MamboAnesu Energy is a 200MW phased solar power project in Hwange District, Zimbabwe, addressing the country’s 500–800MW electricity deficit. Phase 1 includes a 150MW PV plant with 50MW CSP dispatch enhancement, creating a grid-stable, storage-ready hybrid. Located 10 km from the Insukamini 33kV line, the stand alone project requires USD535M for EPC and infrastructure. At a base tariff of ~USD0.12/kWh, it offers predictable revenues, with a target IRR of~20% and NPV of USD 827M over a 24–36 month delivery timeline.

Why Investing

1
Addresses Energy Shortages
Adds 200 MW to Zimbabwe’s grid, reducing chronic load-shedding and dependence on costly imports.
2
Government and Institutional Backing
Supported by the National Energy Compact, a USD-linked GPSA, and GreenCo endorsement for predictable revenue and low regulatory risk.
3
Strong Market Economics
SAPP prices consistently exceed breakeven, while phased, insured construction and high solar irradiance ensure stable returns with limited risk.
