Why Investing

1
Circular, Climate-Resilient Growth Model
The project is built on a circular, energy-efficient operating model that strengthens long-term competitiveness while reducing climate and resource risk. It integrates energy efficiency across processing and logistics, responsible water use and management, and systematic waste and by-product valorisation to maximise resource productivity. Climate-smart agricultural logic underpins the entire value chain, improving resilience to climate shocks, stabilising supply, and lowering operational costs over time.
2
Strong, Measurable Social Impact
The project is deeply rooted in local communities, empowering more than 11,000 smallholder farmers organised across 500+ cooperatives. It supports inclusive economic growth through the creation of approximately 34 direct jobs and 200–400 indirect jobs, with targeted training and income opportunities for women and youth. Beyond livelihoods, the project delivers broader social benefits by strengthening food security, enhancing household economic resilience, and demonstrating strong social inclusion credentials—positioning it well for blended finance and grant eligibility.
3
Proven Team with a Strong Execution Track Record
The team has demonstrated the ability to build, scale, and operate high-value agri-industrial value chains across multiple commodities and markets. This includes developing a 4,000 t/year climate-smart shea processing plant, processing 439 tons in 2024 and creating 8,688 jobs (94% women), with 6,603 trained collectors. The team has also scaled organic pineapple exports from 1,564 tons in 2019 to approximately 5,000 tons by 2025, maintaining continuous exports to Europe since 2012 with backing from leading impact investors. In addition, they exported 5,955 tons of organic soy in 2024—a 32% year-on-year increase—supporting 13,207 producers organised in cooperatives and supplying long-standing markets in Europe and North America.
