ImplementationAgribloom is a climate-smart agriculture and clean energy financing initiative by Jaress Agfinance, created to empower women smallholder farmers in climate-vulnerable regions of Nigeria. The project blends affordable financing, hands-on training, and access to sustainable technologies to turn subsistence farms into resilient, profitable, and eco-friendly enterprises. Under Agribloom, women farmers receive financing aligned with agricultural cycles, coupled with intensive coaching on sustainable techniques such as mulching, water retention, manual weeding, and the use of organic fertilizers and herbicides. We address post-harvest loss by financing solar dryers and support year-round production through solar-powered irrigation pumps. This integrated model tackles three major challenges: low productivity, post-harvest waste, and vulnerability to climate change. By combining finance with technology and knowledge, Agribloom enables women to increase yields and preserve harvest.
