I am Eddy Van Den Broeke, serving as the Chairman of Greenville LNG. My venture into Nigeria’s business landscape commenced in 1996 when I founded the ASCA group, which subsequently became Nigeria’s leading bitumen supplier for two decades. In 2015, I embarked on a new endeavor by establishing Greenville LNG, driven by the desire to contribute to Nigeria’s potential in the natural gas sector and to support the government’s initiatives in the domestic LNG market. Today, I take pride in leading a dedicated team of professionals at Greenville LNG who all share a common vision: to revolutionize Nigeria’s energy sector. Greenville LNG is a company deeply absorbed in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, and since its inception in 2015, it has been a prominent player in the production and distribution of liquefied natural gas (LNG). Greenville LNG is embarking on an exciting new venture as we eagerly incorporate Liquefied Compressed Natural Gas (L-CNG) into our business portfolio. This strategic expansion signifies a significant stride in our dedication to offering sustainable and cutting-edge energy solutions in Nigeria. At the heart of this initiative is the establishment of a network of L-CNG stations spanning the country, with the first station scheduled for inauguration later this month in Kaduna. Our enthusiasm for this project stems from its potential to transform Nigeria’s energy landscape.
As we continue to expand our L-CNG infrastructure and operations, we envision a future where cleaner and more accessible energy options become available to a broader spectrum of Nigerians. In addition to our L-CNG endeavors, we are extending our efforts to include Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) infrastructure in Northern and Central Nigeria. The establishment of our first-ever LCNG station in Nigeria will cater to the growing gas demand in non-pipeline connected areas. This initiative is poised to play a pivotal role in the economic development of these regions, providing a reliable and accessible energy source that will boost the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Where in Africa are you active and where are you looking to for growth?
At Greenville Liquified Natural Gas Limited, our current operations are primarily focused on Nigeria, where we have been actively involved in pioneering the production and distribution of Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) since 2015. We have made significant progress in Nigeria, with installations, commissioning, and distribution activities of LNG across the country. Looking ahead, our growth strategy extends to other regions within West Africa. We are actively exploring opportunities for expansion and collaboration with large customers in West African countries outside of Nigeria. Our goal is to contribute to the growth and development of the LNG industry in these neighboring countries, further solidifying our presence and impact in the West African region.
