A committed visionary dedicated to national development, Fabien Mutomb Kan Kato is a key figure in the revival of rail transport in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Managing Director of SNCC since 2019, he embodies hands-on leadership focused on modernizing infrastructure, reviving rail operations and improving working conditions for railway workers. 

A former national deputy elected twice in the Lubumbashi constituency; he combines political experience with technical expertise. 

Under his leadership, SNCC has launched several major projects: the acquisition of modern locomotives, river boats, passenger carriages and new freight wagons; the rehabilitation of strategic lines; and the strengthening of links between regions. His actions reflect a clear vision: to make rail a lever for growth and integration throughout the DRC.
