Emmanuel Kanchebele

Emmanuel Kanchebele is an economist with a proven track record in business development, research, and stakeholder engagement. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Zambia. Emmanuel began his career as a Business Development Specialist at an international financial advisory firm, where he advised clients on investments in offshore financial instruments across US and European markets and produced economic reports to guide strategic investment decisions.

He currently serves as Secretariat, managing and coordinating a diverse membership base—including Independent Power Producers (IPPs), traders, and developers—while speaking on behalf of the power sector to stakeholders, regulators, and policymakers. Emmanuel has contributed to the adoption of key sector policies and drafted national budget submissions on behalf of the power sector. In addition to his research and engagement work, he is a published researcher in the International Journal of Economics and was contacted by Imperial College London to validate a solar sector research thesis. Emmanuel combines analytical rigor with strategic leadership.
