Overview

Powerbox Energy Systems is a Nigerian clean-energy technology and manufacturing company developing domestically manufactured, modular solar energy systems for households and small businesses.

We design and manufacture integrated energy systems that combine solar generation, battery storage, power conversion, control electronics and energy management into compact, reliable products designed for the realities of African markets.

Our approach focuses on local manufacturing, affordability and circularity. By increasing local production and incorporating the recovery and reuse of suitable components, we aim to reduce dependence on imported finished energy systems, lower lifecycle costs and address the growing challenge of electronic waste.

Powerbox systems are designed for environments where grid electricity is unreliable or unavailable and where households and businesses would otherwise depend heavily on petrol and diesel generators.

Since beginning operations, Powerbox has deployed more than 500+ systems across eight Nigerian states, while building local manufacturing capacity and technical expertise. Our long-term objective is to establish a scalable African clean-energy manufacturing platform capable of delivering affordable, reliable distributed energy products across Nigeria and other African markets.
