ScopingThe JASD regenerative Agricultural training program(RATP) is a separate social entrepreneurial program or SME controlled and managed by our registered nonprofit organization . Joint Actions for Sustainable Development- RATP is a youth led SME providing transformative farming practices and other related ready services around food systems and local farming. The JASD-RATP work is advancing a farming system with healthier and more productivity crop plants as soil cover on landscape with physical element and biological and chemical properties. The program envisions a thriving farmland with continuous growing food crops and conserving environments.
We are building a Cameroon-based climate-smart agriculture startup that helps and transitioning food system, local crop management and supply chain in agricultural landscape environment. The startup is also supporting in the development of degrading farmland, climate action, improve-crop production and community resilient . The JASD RATP is a training model that provides hand on techniques and practices and natural integrated pest management approach in regenerative farming system . The service involved practical teaching in the making and application of mulching, cover cropping, crop diversification, bio pesticide, bio fertilizer, composting, no tillage, precision farming, tree integration and other others
Our solution combines providing information and regenerative farming practices with low-data AI and digital tools that monitor soil and crop health, identify pests and diseases, provide climate-risk alerts, and deliver practical recommendations farmers can use in local conditions.
The platform and field-support model provide:
– Soil and crop health monitoring
– Early diagnosis of pests and diseases
– Climate-risk and weather alerts
-available price fluctuation of agricultural products
-ability to earn carbon credits
– Practical recommendations for composting, mulching, no-tillage, crop diversification, and natural pest management
– Vetiver and native-tree planting for erosion control and restoration
– Access to farm information, markets, inputs, and potential climate-finance opportunities
