Pre-feasibilityBioPat Initiatives is a transformative circular economy project located in Enugu State, Southeast Nigeria, designed to tackle critical challenges in waste management, clean energy, agriculture, and food security. The project integrates anaerobic digestion, medical waste gasification, renewable power generation, climate-smart mechanized farming, and sustainable cattle ranching and dairy processing across 200 hectares.
Annually, BioPat will process over 365,000 tons of organic waste and 182,500 tons of medical waste, converting them into biomethane, Bio-CNG, Bio-LNG, biofertilizers, and biogenic CO₂, while generating >15MW of renewable energy. The initiative will also support large-scale crop cultivation and feed a dairy facility serving over 2,000 cattle, producing fresh milk and meat products for local markets.
By closing the loop between waste, energy, and agriculture, BioPat will prevent over 1 million tons of CO₂-equivalent emissions annually, enhance soil health and creates jobs
