Overview

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is a critical element of the historic Paris Agreement. The Fund is the world’s largest climate fund, mandated to support developing countries raise and realize their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) ambitions towards low-emissions and climate-resilient pathways. GCF drives innovative co-investment opportunities, using concessional loans, equity, grants and guarantees to mobilize blended public and private finance. GCF targets both climate adaptation and mitigation efforts, across various sectors and emerging markets, including Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and Least Developed Countries (LDCs).
