On-demand: Unlocking Africa’s Water Potential: Private Sector Investment and Funding Opportunities

Africa faces escalating water scarcity challenges due to climate change, rapid urbanisation and population growth. To address these issues, the private sector, investors, and funders have crucial roles in driving innovation, improving water infrastructure, and advancing sustainable water management.  

Africa’s Green Economy Summit presents this webinar, inspired by Wesgro’s “CEO Guide to Water Resilience” and hosted by ESI Africa, to provide insights into the investment landscape and funding mechanisms to support water resilience initiatives across the African continent.

The session aims to encourage private sector participation in water resilience projects, highlight areas with the highest impact potential, and outline available financing pathways.

The webinar will be moderated by ESI Africa Editor-in-Chief Nicolette Pombo-van Zyl.

 Belvana Abeli, Green Economy Investment Portfolio Manager, Wesgro, South Africa will present an overview of the Wesgro’s report and the business case for water resilience, highlighting opportunities for private sector investment and innovation in the African water sector.

This will be followed by a panel discussion including:
