This will benefit nine communities across the villages of Samukonga, Kamimbi, Kipepa, Kashala and Samukinda.
The signing ceremony was attended by Fifi Masuka Saini, Governor of Lualaba Province; Wamana Tanda Nicodème, Provincial Minister of Mines of Lualaba; Nicolas Treand, ERG Africa CEO and representatives of the beneficiary communities.
Masuka Saini expressed her support for the initiative: “This Cahier des Charges is designed to assist Metalkol SA in delivering socio-economic infrastructure and social services to the local communities affected by its operations. I sincerely thank ERG Africa for adhering to the legal requirements and encourage other mining operators to do the same.”

The projects planned under the initiative will focus on the following sectors:
