Dunne is best known for his leadership at Northam Platinum, where he has served as Chief Executive Officer since 2014. Under his leadership, Northam Platinum has grown significantly through strategic acquisitions and operational expansion, transforming the company into a diversified, multi-mine producer with a strong focus on innovation and shareholder value.
Before joining Northam, Dunne built his reputation at Impala Platinum, one of the world’s leading platinum producers. During his time at Impala Platinum, he held senior roles, including executive director, and was responsible for mining, concentrating, and smelting operations at both the Rustenburg and Marula mines. His operational expertise and strategic insight contributed to Impala’s performance during his years with the company.
In addition to his executive roles, Dunne has also served on the boards of Zambezi Platinum and the International Platinum Group Metals Association, further cementing his standing as a leader in the platinum mining sector.
