Silindile Mtshali is Senior Freshwater Technical Specialist at WWF South Africa and has experience in freshwater and natural resource management across several of South Africa’s strategic water source areas. Her work focuses on conserving freshwater ecosystems, strengthening water stewardship and supporting the sustainable management of high-priority landscapes to improve resilience. She has worked on catchment-based partnerships involving communities, industry and other stakeholders, including water stewardship initiatives in the uMkhomazi catchment. Silindile is also a PhD candidate in Hydrology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Centre for Water Resources Research, building on her practical experience in freshwater conservation and landscape management.
