Murendeni Matshinyatsimbi is responsible for Renewable Energy portfolio at Sibanye-Stillwater, an international precious metals company. Murendeni has extensive experience in consulting and developing renewable energy projects across the SADC region, providing experience in engineering design, project management, commissioning, construction management, Power Purchase Agreement negotiation and execution, permitting and business development. Murendeni attained all these skills throughout his career, with over fourteen years of on job experience from different companies.
Murendeni holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from University of Cape Town. He is registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a professional engineer and is a member of South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE). He currently serves as the chairperson and council member of the EIUG.
